BOARD MEMBER // LLOYD RIGDON

Lloyd Rigdon~A self-described simple man.I am married to my best friend and soulmate Hazel. Together we have two sons, Coty ( and wife Brittnay) & Wesley (and wife Ashley) , along with five happy and healthy grandchildren

I've spent nearly 4 decades working for the same company I started with, learning the electrical trade. I began right out of HS and progressed thru the company in many roles afterward from an apprentice, journeyman, supervisor, project manager, estimator and now serves as VP for the same company. During that time, I have played a role in transforming the landscape and skyline of Charlotte into the beautiful city is today.

To be honest I have been consumed by the outdoors, hunting , and fishing since a young child. Born in an environment with very few rules in South Georgia’s black water swamps. From a young age, little guidance on the outdoors, learning my passion on my own, sometimes the hard way. Most folks in my family hunted and fished out of necessity more than for leisure or sport. As I grew up in middle & HS, I also had a passion for the game of football and baseball. In 1981, while in HS I was injured on the football field and ended up with 3 broken ribs and a punctured lung , and lost MY right kidney. The remaining years in HS I was not allowed to play contact sports. Seventeen years later I discovered my remaining kidney was failing and underwent a kidney transplant in 1999. It’s no surprise my living donor ended up being my HS sweetheart and wife, Hazel. Through miracle gift of life, I love work, hunts and play without restrictions. Hunting is still my calling but time these days is more about sharing time with family and friends, taking advantage of every opportunity to I can spare to pass on my experiences, traditions and helping others enjoy the outdoors as well. My favorite times in life are spent with family and the best times of my life are spent at our family hunting with my wife, children, grandchildren, extended family.
