My name is BJ Balk. I currently live in Mooresville NC with my amazing daughter Siddalei. I was born and raised in Ohio where my father had me in the woods at a very young age and hunting and fishing was a way of life for me growing up. As much as I enjoyed the sport in it, it was even more important as a means to provide food for our family. Now I am passing those skills on to my daughter. A few years ago I came across a newspaper article on a Hands of a Sportsman disabled hunt and I decided l was going to go and help out. I could have never imagined the impact that day would have on me or the path it would set me on. I have been 100% all in since that day. I have heard this said more times than I can count by people that had taken the time to help get a hunter in the woods, “you only have to do this once and you never NOT do it again.” The blessing I feel through service to my fellow man and this organization is beyond measure. So I hope to see you at our next event!
